The Kazka Fest project ended in Feldman Ecopark on Sunday, September 1. It was organized by the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” with the support of Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
“Attention of Kharkiv citizens and city guests to this event exceeded all expectations. More than 200,000 people visited Feldman Ecopark over five festival weekends. Kazka Fest became a memorable event of late summer, showing the importance of fairy tale for the development of children in psychotherapeutic context, as well. Besides, it should be noted that it became our first successful experience of joint funding of the event with the State structure – the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. I have no doubt that there’ll be plenty of such projects in the future.” – Maksym Vodka, the director of the ICF “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” told.
The final chord of Kazka Fest was a show programme with the participation of theatre and music groups, such as Small Puppet Theatre, School of Theatre Magic, the Band 63 jazz band and Stereo Bit cover band. In addition, the winners of photo competition from Kazka Fest, master classes from the School of Theatre Magic and the Testo acting school were awarded in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex. Besides, the presentation of Kazka Book – a collection of fairy tales written by children – the participants of master classes from modern Ukrainian storytellers in one of the previous festival weekends and various competitions with interesting prizes took place here.
Moreover, guests to Feldman Ecopark enjoyed watching a horse show and performances of the Theatre of Children and Animals and congratulated African spurred tortoise Gabi on the 25th anniversary.
It should be reminded that a national cultural project Kazka Fest took place in Feldman Ecopark in August with the support of Ukrainian Cultural Foundation within the framework of its programme “Prominent Events for Ukrainian Culture.” Every weekend of the last summer month, everyone was able to participate in literature readings, to visit book fair, theatrical performances, concerts, fairy-tale therapy sessions, art quests and master classes, as well as other events that took place in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex.
